💜 Amy (means Beloved), (Washington) 💜

I'm currently praying for my children to come to the Lord, for themselves and for my grandchildren.

In 2000, I left California, where I was residing with the father of my three children. During that time, things were very trying. Everything under the sun was happening in that relationship. I struggled for a period of time with deciding how and when to leave. There wasn't much money or a lot of family support. But GOD! I got the money to purchase train tickets for all of us. We got here with only four Rubbermaid totes of clothes. I got into college, earned my GED, and entered a shelter. The shelter helped me transition into housing, but God was with me, truly providing through these transitional changes. He never left. He carried me.

Everything was changing, and fast. Fear to freedom. At the end of it all, we had housing, education, structure, hope, and a set of good boundaries. Pathways for Women was a huge part of changing my life. They really shed light on areas of my life where I was struggling and helped me put changes in place to grow stronger as a mom for my children. I've also had some strong sisters through church who have stuck by my side.

I'm proud of the boundaries I have set in place and the peace I have in my life. I'm proud of my children. I'm currently gaining skills as an Occupancy Specialist, and I'm attending college for entrepreneurship.

God wants us to have joy. ❤️ No matter the situation, don't stay down. Continue to look forward. Let Him carry you. There's nothing to look back for. Keep your eyes on the reward, salvation.
